Key Club

 
Key Club:
 
      Sponsored by Ewing Kiwanis Club, Key Club is a service organization dedicated to community service.
Key Club assists Kiwanis in carrying out its mission to serve the children of the world. High school student
members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting
clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning
projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels.  
      The Ewing High Key Club has worked with several different volunteer organizations including
Habitat for Humanity, Parents of Autistic Children, Crisis Ministry of Mercer County, Toys for Tots,
Mercer County Food Bank, UNICEF, the NJ Blood Council, local tutoring programs for elementary
schools and the middle school, trail and park clean up programs, and the Ewing Elementary Schools.

Habitat for Humanity: Habitat for Humanity provides Ewing High School students (minimum age requirement 16 yrs old) with a great deal of volunteer opportunities.  Students volunteer their time at the East Trenton Habitat for Humanity work site.  Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit international organization dedicated to providing underprivileged families with affordable housing.  Students work on team building exercises, learn about solutions to local economic problems, and engage in the basics of carpentry.  During these valuable learning experiences, the students assist in building the local community.
